 > Input from sensor unit

 > This wire is connected to the speed sensor unit

 > The input has 2 sensitivities which are controlled by the purple wire

    in most vehicles the signal level from the speed sensor is greater than 2.5V

    and this is considered the normal input level, therefore the purple wire should

    be left unconnected.

 > If the signal level from the speed sensor is less than 2.5V the input sensitivity can

    be increased to 300mV by connecting the purple wire to ground.

Purple - short

Gain control

 (as described above)

 > This wire is used to set the GAIN of the converter module i.e. how sensitive it is.

 > In most vehicles it is left unconnected.

 > If the HI level signal provided by the sensor is less than 2.5V the purple wire can be

    connected to ground to increase the sensitivity of the yellow input.
